If you’re like me and don’t like using a bunch of harsh chemical-laden products on your body but have a few body parts you’d like to firm the appearance of… I’ve found an all-natural cellulite cream that is a must-try!
I’m dangerously close to entering into a new decade (can’t stay in your 20s forever) and over the last couple of years, I’ve had a few changes in the elasticity of my skin and patches of cellulite have started to appear. Rather than shaming myself for aging, I’ve done a little research and learned that I’m not alone… cellulite can happen to, literally, anybody and can show up on any body type and age. Makes you feel better, right? Although it’s unlikely that any one of us can totally and completely get rid of cellulite 100 percent, there are many treatments, products and procedures that can slow down the production of new cellulite, improve the appearance of your skin, and reduce what you already have.
Unfortunately, most of those treatments, products and procedures equate to injections, surgery and polluting your body with harsh chemicals that can later cause a host of new problems. BUT! I’ve recently been introduced to Frownies.
Frownies offers an All-Natural Aroma Therapy Cellulite Cream that is made with 100% natural ingredients and is packed with 100% pure therapeutic-grade essential oils, natural caffeine and plankton.
Not only is it safe to use every day without having to worry about side effects from chemicals, but the aroma of the essential oils makes it feel like a spa-like experience.
I am a big advocate for essential oils so I was immediately excited to open up my tube when given the opportunity to try it. The combination of lavender, tangerine, geranium, black spruce, frankincense (my favorite), lime, ginger (and several other essential oils) has a really bright, energizing fragrance without being overpowering. I would scent my body with these oils all on their own, but I also loved that I could use this cream and its bright, fresh natural scent never competed with any other scented body lotion or perfume that I used.
But does it work?
My short answer is yes. I will admit, I struggled to see results right up front, but when I modified the way I was applying the cream, things started to turn around. I experimented specifically on trouble areas like the insides of my underarms and the insides of my upper thighs. At the end of my ‘experiement,’ I’ve noticed a smoother appearance in my skin and it even feels tighter and younger! I’m all about younger. ;)
With Frownies Aroma Therapy Cellulite Cream (and really any other cellulite-diminishing product), you need to be diligent with using it every day. It’s strongly encouraged to give the product at least 30 days of use before judging the results you’re getting… and I agree. I also found that I got better, faster results when I really worked the product into my problems areas using deep, massage-like strokes to break up cellulite (which is really pockets of fats and trapped fluids straining against the skin). Massaging deeply helped break up those pockets and made it so that my skin absorbed the cream more quickly. My other TIP for getting the product to work best, I found, is using it right after you get out of the shower while your body is still warm and your pores are still open. I feel like my skin “received” the product much better this way and I’m pretty confident that this helped my end result.
