Hands down one of the best brunch spots in Tulsa, Doc’s Wine & Food is nestled in the heart of Brookside and offers up a fantastic Saturday-Sunday brunch menu.
The atmosphere is absolutely stunning. They’ve mixed rustic and elegance in their small, cozy dining room making it a great spot for daytime brunch with friends or a romantic spot for date night.
When the weather is especially nice, a seat out on the covered patio is a likely choice and I’ve found if you’re seeking a little peace and quiet with your special someone but still want a taste of sunshine, ask to sit at one of the tables in the courtyard by the restaurant’s entrance. No matter which table you choose, you’ll leave raving about the food.
They’re known for their oysters, but if you’re not a oyster fan… no biggie; there are plenty of other non-seafood options to enjoy. Brunch offers a good mix of breakfast and lunch plates including a fluffy and delicate housemade Waffle-of-the-Day.
Waffle-of-the-Day | $11
Try the Eggs Nola (my personal favorite) where Blue Swimmer crab cakes meet poached eggs, grilled asparagus and jalapeno hollandaise ($16)… you can’t go wrong.
Eggs Nola | $16
Another dish worth mentioning are the Biscuits & Gravy ($8). They make their sausage gravy with andouille so it’s much smokier and more savory than your average country gravy.
If you’re hungry for lunch, try the creamy and spicy Turkey Avocado Melt ($8), a sandwich of sliced turkey on grilled sourdough with avocado, cheddar, bacon and Louisiana Hot Sauce, or the Hangover Burger ($12) with cheddar cheese, onions, andouille sausage, bacon, and a fried egg (of course).
Turkey Avocado Melt | $8
